Our dog is older and suffers from arthritis. Occasionally, she struggles with one of her back legs because it twists, and although the vet suspected a torn ACL, tests always show it’s fine. When she starts recovering, she sometimes reinjures the leg. This brace prevents that from happening. It provides support while still allowing joint movement and stabilizes the knee. This helps her slowly rebuild muscle strength and regain joint stability over time. The brace is very well constructed with durable materials. It took less than a minute to put on her, and it was easy to figure out. I was concerned it might be complicated, but it wasn’t. The padded, breathable fabric kept her comfortable at all times. There’s a handle on top, which allows us to guide her when needed or help her feel secure. You should let your dog get used to it gradually. I recommend practicing with it before any surgery so that if surgery is needed, your dog will already be familiar with it.

Pitbull, 72 lbs, 6 years old, Size Medium. Sally has patellar luxation and recently injured the cranial cruciate ligament in her right hind leg. At her two-week follow-up, the vet recommended this brace to help prevent further damage to her ligament. Her left knee had been compensating for the right and was starting to strain, so this brace makes walking much easier for her. The brace feels very sturdy, even with repeated use of the Velcro. It’s lightweight and has no strange odor. Sally seems comfortable wearing it, and it provides excellent leg stabilization. When she licks it, she doesn’t seem bothered by any taste.

This brace has been a great support for our 6-year-old Lab who injured his rear cruciate ligament. It’s really important to get the right size—measure carefully—because if it’s too loose, the straps can slide when he lies down and gets up, and then it won’t provide the support it’s meant to. Putting the brace on and taking it off is easy, so we only use it when he’s active outside. We remove it when we’re not home. The quality is excellent, and it’s held up really well even with a large, energetic dog.

This brace has been amazing for our dog after two ACL surgeries. It fits her body perfectly, providing support while still allowing her to sit or lie down comfortably. She tries to take it off sometimes, but overall it has greatly reduced her limp. Attaching it is simple—we were able to secure it in about two minutes. It’s adjustable, so we use it both indoors and on walks. We’ve noticed she can walk longer distances while wearing it. The velcro straps are strong and durable. I even washed it in the machine and air-dried it; it held its shape perfectly and was ready to use again within a couple of hours.
