Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. How do I choose the right size?

✅ Before selecting a size, please measure your dog carefully and compare the results with our size chart. Do not choose a size based only on your dog’s weight or breed. For the best fit, please measure the body length, leg girth, and the distance between the front and rear legs. A proper fit helps the harness stay secure and comfortable during use.

Q2. What situations is this dog lifting harness designed for?

✅ This dog lifting harness is designed to help dogs who need extra support during daily movement, such as walking, climbing stairs, getting in and out of the car, going outside for potty breaks, or moving during recovery. It is especially helpful for senior dogs, disabled dogs, dogs with weak rear legs, arthritis, hip issues, IVDD-related weakness, or post-surgery mobility needs. Please use it under your veterinarian’s guidance when your dog is recovering from an injury or surgery.

Q3. Is the lifting handle comfortable for the owner to use?

✅ Yes. The padded lifting handles are designed to give you a more secure and comfortable grip when helping your dog stand, walk, climb stairs, or get into a vehicle. The balanced lifting design also helps reduce strain on your back while giving your dog controlled support.

Q4. Is this harness suitable for dogs with IVDD, arthritis, or hip dysplasia?

✅ This harness may help dogs with mobility challenges by providing assisted support during daily movement. It can be useful for dogs with weakness, balance issues, arthritis, hip dysplasia, IVDD-related mobility difficulty, or age-related decline. Because every dog’s condition is different, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before use, especially for spinal or post-surgery cases.

Q5. Why does protective gear smell?

✅ The fabric is made from SBR and may produce some odor after high temperature treatment, but it has been eco-tested and is safe for dogs and the odor will disappear over time.

This dog lift harness was easy to figure out and simple to put on. My dog weighs about 14 lbs, and we chose the small size. It fit well and felt sturdy. During our test run, I was able to gently support her, guide her direction, and lift her without much effort. The long straps help keep the harness secure while in use, so even though the strap is removable, I think it is better to leave it attached when using the harness. I also like the padding around the back legs because it adds some comfort. I’m not completely sure how useful the side straps are on the small size. It seems like a shorter strap that clips in the center, where the long strap attaches, might give more options. The rear clasps also had less extra room compared with the front, while the front strap had plenty of adjustment space. Since the harness is adjustable, it would be nice if the back area had a little more room. Overall, this harness should work well for specific needs and short periods of use. My dog does not like wearing anything, so I could tell she was not thrilled, but she tolerated it without fussing. I’m not sure whether that was because of the fit or just because she prefers not wearing gear. I like the harness and plan to use it when trimming her paws.

This product works really well and feels durable. We tried leg braces, cheaper support slings, and even considered a dog wheelchair, but none of them worked as well for our dog. We ended up returning the others and keeping this one instead.

Before anything else, I should mention that I chose the larger of the two recommended sizes. I went with the medium, although the small might have been a better fit for my dog right now. Since we may only need it temporarily, I decided to size up in hopes that it could still be useful later for our other longer-bodied dachshunds. Even with the slightly larger fit, it still works well and seems comfortable for my pup.

my dog was struggling to walk on her back legs and was getting stressed with worry about not being able to work however this has given her a new lease of life and would definitely advise to buy!
