Dog Hock Braces for Recovery give your dog steady rear-ankle (tarsal) support during rehab, arthritis flare-ups, or mild sprains. This dog hock brace stabilizes the tarsus to reduce over-flexion, ease joint stress, and promote more comfortable daily movement—without bulky hardware.
Targeted hock stabilization: Helps align and support the rear ankle (tarsus) during walks and rest.
Adjustable, non-slip fit: Multi-point hook-and-loop straps and anti-slip lining help prevent twisting or sliding.
Comfortable daily wear: Soft, breathable fabric with light padding for longer use.
Washable & quick-dry: Easy to clean for hygienic, odor-free wear.
Universal left/right: Works on either rear leg; order two for bilateral support.
Cone companion: Limits access to the area; pair with an e-collar for determined lickers.
Post-injury or post-surgery recovery (follow your vet’s plan)
Mild sprains/strains, tendon irritation, or ligament sensitivity
Age-related instability and arthritis in the hock joint
Dogs that over-flex the rear ankle during activity
Measure for best results:
Upper leg circumference: Above the hock joint.
Lower leg circumference: Below the hock joint.
Coverage height: From above to below the hock where the brace will sit.
Fit tips
If between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
Straps should be snug, not tight—use the two-finger rule under each strap.
Check fit after the first 10–15 minutes of activity and re-adjust if needed.
Identify the affected rear leg.
Open all straps and position the brace so the center aligns with the hock.
Fasten bottom-to-top, applying even tension.
Let your dog walk several steps; re-seat the brace if it rotates or slides.
Start with short sessions (20–40 min), then increase as your dog adapts.
Close straps before washing.
Hand wash or machine wash cold (delicate).
Air dry completely; avoid heat.
Inspect the skin daily for redness or moisture and clean the brace as needed.
