Description

The Adjustable Dog Rear Leg Brace is designed to stabilize the hock (rear ankle) and knee area, helping dogs move with more confidence during ACL/CCL recovery, mild sprains and arthritis flare-ups. A soft, breathable neoprene wrap and multi-point hook-and-loop straps deliver a snug, adjustable fit that stays put—at home, on walks, and during light activity.

Note: This brace is a support aid, not a medical device. If your dog has severe swelling, open wounds or continuing lameness, consult your veterinarian.

Product Features

  • Adjustable, secure fit – Wide, high-grip straps let you fine-tune compression and keep the brace from slipping.

  • Targeted stabilization – Wraps the hock and knee area to help limit unwanted rotation and over-extension.

  • Breathable comfort – Skin-friendly neoprene with mesh lining reduces heat build-up for longer wear.

  • Reflective safety – Low-light visibility for evening walks.

  • Quick on/off – Simple strap path; most dogs adapt within minutes.

  • Multiple sizes – Fits small to giant breeds (see sizing below).

Who It’s For

  • Dogs with ACL/CCL strains, mild sprains, or soft-tissue irritation

  • Senior dogs with arthritis who benefit from gentle stabilization

  • Post-injury or post-surgery users after vet clearance

  • Pups that need extra confidence on slippery floors or during controlled exercise

Sizing Guide

Measure with your dog standing:

  1. A (Above Hock): Circumference 2–3cm (≈1 in) above the hock

  2. B (At Hock): Circumference around the hock joint

  3. C (Below Hock): Circumference 2–3cm below the hock

Fit tip: If in between sizes, choose the larger size for adjustment room. After 10–15 minutes of wear, check the skin for redness and re-adjust if needed.

How to Put It On (Quick Start)

  1. Keep your dog standing or gently supported.

  2. Align the brace so the padded side faces the leg and the opening centers on the hock.

  3. Fasten the middle strap first, then the upper and lower straps.

  4. Adjust for a snug fit—tight enough to stay in place, loose enough to fit one finger under the edge.

  5. Walk your dog for 1–2 minutes and fine-tune if you see sliding or twisting.

Wear time: Start with 30–60 minutes on day one, then gradually extend. Use during walks, light activity, and rehab sessions; you can remove it for resting periods.

Materials & Build

  • Main body: High-elastic neoprene for cushioning and light compression

  • Lining: Breathable mesh to reduce friction and heat

  • Straps: Heavy-duty hook-and-loop with reflective webbing

  • Edges: Soft binding to prevent rolling and chafing

Care & Maintenance

  • Hand-wash cold, close straps before washing and air-dry flat

  • Keep away from high heat and direct sun when drying

  • Brush debris from the hook-and-loop to restore grip over time

What to Expect

  • Immediate stability boost for many dogs, some may need a short acclimation period

  • Works best as part of a vet-approved plan (rest, surface traction, weight control and guided exercise)

After putting it on, my dog didn't reject it at all; he can now wear it for extended periods, and it helps him walk.

My dog injured his CCL, but we decided to hold off on surgery for a while. I chose the brace that supports both knees because when one leg is hurt, dogs often put extra weight on the other leg, which can lead to another injury. The brace feels well made and has several adjustable straps, so it can be fitted securely. I also like that it supports around the chest and body, which helps keep the knee braces from sliding out of place without putting too much pressure on the neck. The only thing I would improve is the Velcro—it would be better if it were wider and stronger to help keep the straps tighter. We added a little soft padding near the lower leg area to make the fit more snug and reduce slipping. My dog is scheduled for surgery soon, and our vet said this brace is a helpful support during the recovery period. We had tried a single-leg brace before, but it kept shifting and did not stay in place as well as this double-knee support brace.

I’m really happy with this brace. My dog looks a little like Iron Man when he wears it, which honestly makes me laugh, but it does what it is supposed to do. I do have to readjust it from time to time, but after talking with other dog owners, I’ve learned that this seems to be normal with most braces. The quality is very good. It feels sturdy, well made, and supportive without being too bulky. My dog got used to it right away and did not seem bothered by wearing it, which was a big relief.

We have a senior American Akita who had surgery a little over a year ago for a torn ACL. Recently, she hurt her other leg while running around in the backyard. Since we really did not want to go through another expensive surgery, we decided to try this brace first. After using it for a few weeks, she started limping less and was able to put weight on the injured leg again. We still use it for longer walks to give her extra support. After about a month, the Velcro seemed like it was not holding as well. At first, I thought it was wearing out, but then I realized dog hair had built up on the fastening side. I cleaned it off with duct tape, almost like using a lint roller, and once the fur was removed, the Velcro worked securely again. So if the Velcro starts losing grip, check for fur stuck in it before assuming it is worn out.

My girl moves much better with this whenever her dual torn CCLs start bothering her.

My dog recently tore his ACL after jumping onto the couch, which left him limping badly. That’s what made me decide to order this brace. We had tried another support before, but it only wrapped around his belly with Velcro and kept slipping every time he walked, no matter how carefully I adjusted it. This one is much better designed. It fits comfortably around his shoulders, and the support is secured with clips, so it stays in place without sliding around. My dog seems much more comfortable walking in it.
