    The fit was perfect for Shiloh, my wiener dog, but she was definitely unsure about the leg straps. They are adjustable, and I was able to get the fit right, but she still needed time to get used to them. I’d recommend introducing it slowly, maybe using it for short walks at first. It feels very stable, is well made, and the price is fair for the quality. The only spots that may rub a little are around the leg straps.

    Luckily, we do not need to use this brace right now, but it gives me peace of mind knowing we have it ready if our dog ever needs extra support. Anyone with a dachshund knows how stressful it can be when they suddenly jump off the couch or bed, even when you have stairs, ramps, or other precautions in place. The brace is adjustable around the chest, neck area, and midsection, so it can be fitted pretty well. It also has straps around the back legs to help keep everything in place. At first, our dog walked a little awkwardly in it, which is expected, but the brace did help keep his back straighter and more supported. One of our dachshunds sometimes arches his back, and this brace helped him stay more aligned. It may not be something he enjoys wearing, but it does what it is designed to do.
